Individual Therapy
As a Gay Man, it can be difficult to accept oneself due to internal shame and living in a heteronormative society.
We learned at a young age how to protect ourselves from stigma and discrimination by numbing pain, overcompensating, and in some cases living a dual life.
These strategies once protected us, but now negatively influence our emotions, thoughts, and views.
If you are ready for change, Let's Talk!
My intention is to help you find your inner strength to realign with your core values to live a purposeful life.
I help Gay Men who are struggling with their sexual orientation, living in/out of the closet, living with HIV, relationship conflict, and more.
I am trained in the following approaches to help you manage anxiety, depression, substance abuse and trauma.
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
-
Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
